Welding

TORRESWELDING is a unique piece of equipment in the world. It has been developed to replace, in certain sections of the fuselage, the traditional riveting process to join the spars to the skins. This union is carried out using a laser welding process.

The TORRESWELDING equipment includes two high-power laser resonators, whose beams are conducted independently to the welding head, so that the stringer is welded to the cladding using both laser beams, one on each side, simultaneously.< /p>

The system provides significant productivity benefits, with processing approximately 10 times faster than conventional riveting, as well as a 15% reduction in panel weight.
