Positioning

The MTORRES positioning system has been conceptualized to align and assemble the fuselage and wings with greater flexibility. Automatic tooling positioning has a pre-defined position of the lifting hardware, with the ability to accommodate small variations in position of the lifting hardware (floating device).

Advantages:

  • Time saving for mounting and dismounting the posture alignment bracket
  • No need to move heavy equipment
  • Avoid inaccuracies caused by the additional weight of the part
  • More precise control. Small approach movement just to get the final position
  • Due to reduced slack, repeatability during open and close iterations
  • Reduction in the number of loops needed to reach the best integration position
